  • Organize the campus around a densely developed campus core with a cross-axial pathway system leading to major identifiable gateways along the campus periphery.
  • Push open space to the campus edges in order to strengthen institutional identity.  Remove Maude Frazier Hall and develop a signature open space at the campus' main entrance with the Lied Library as a visual terminus.
  • Develop a well-defined internal campus road linking Tropicana Avenue and Swenson Street (wrapping around the southwest edge of the Thomas & Mack Center).
  • Maximize parking deck utilization to accommodate increased building density.
  • Expand the student union and bookstore in their current location.
  • Consolidate campus support services around the existing Campus Services Building.
  • Partner in the investment to establish a strong mixed-use development along Maryland Parkway across from the campus' main entrance.
